Arsenal v Chelsea Preview

Tonights biggest Round 4 Capital One Cup tie sees Premiership leaders Arsenal entertain second place Chelsea at the Emirates in a match being shown live on Sky Sports kicking off at 19.45 in a repeat of the 2007 League Cup Final, which Chelsea won 2-1.

Both teams won at the weekend when the Gunners won 2-0 against Crystal Palace, while Chelsea beat Manchester City with a late winner.

It remains to be seen if both managers will field their strongest teams but Arsenal will certainly be without the suspended Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini, who has a groin injury although
Jack Wilshere is fit, and Serge Gnabry faces a fitness test on an ankle problem.

Chelsea will almost certainly rotate their squad for their second match in three days with
Juan Mata, Kevin De Bruyne, Michael Essien, Demba Ba and Mark Schwarzer all likely to play.

Mourinho won the trophy twice in his first spell with Chelsea, but Wenger has yet to win it, losing to Birmingham City in 2011. The Gunners have won nine of their last 10 home League Cup ties, scoring 29 times but they have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last eight League Cup matches, whereas Chelsea have won their last three away games in all competitions, scoring 10 times and conceding just once.

As far as the betting goes, Paddy Power currently have Arsenal at 9/5 with Chelsea at 6/4. This is also the match on which they have one of their popular Money Back Specials, which is that If this match goes to penalties, they will refund all losing First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer, Correct Score & Scorecast singles on the match.

If you fancy predicting the first goalscorer, how about Ramsey at 9/1 or Demba Ba at 8/1.
