Liverpool outsiders to beat Spanish giants

Liverpool are at home to Real Madrid tonight kicking off at 19.45 and which is live on skysports 5 HDSky Sports 1 HD

Liverpool are underdogs at Anfield on a European night as holders Real Madrid travel to England as the bookmakers’ favourites.

After losing in Basle last time out in the Champions League, Brendan Rodgers’ side cannot afford to drop points in Group B,  which they’re now 13/2 outsiders to win.

Goals are very much expected, with over 2.5 goals rated 8/13, while even over 3.5 is a relatively short price at 6/4.

Madrid are joint-favourites (7/2) to lift the trophy, along with Bayern Munich, but Liverpool have won all three of their European meetings with the 10-time winners.

In fact, they’ve scored six without reply courtesy of two 1-0 wins (one in the 1981 final and the other in the Bernabeu in 2009) and a 4-0 triumph the last time they met in the Champions League.

Another 4-0 success for Liverpool is extremely unlikely at 150/1, while they’re even a big price to maintain their record of winning without conceding against Madrid at 15/2.
